Jefferson Street, which is officially recorded as Jefferson Avenue in city and county land, tax, and title records, stretches from the Delaware River to the east, all the way to South 10th Street, situated one block north of Chelton Avenue. In the past, Jefferson Street formed a continuous path. However, the construction of I-676 disrupted the flow of Jefferson Street and resulted in the removal of all buildings to the east of the railroad tracks, extending up to Master Street.
