Spanish influenza attacks workers in New Jersey shipyards
Camden, N.J., Sept. 28.—More than 3,000 cases of Spanish influenza have developed here during the last 24 hours, according to reports made tonight by city physicians.
Twenty deaths were reported today. State Senator J. C. Haines is seriously ill with the malady.
Five hundred workers in the local shipyards affected with the disease were unable to report for duty today. Twenty cases were reported among the marines guarding the immigrant station at Gloucester City.
