The woman who operated the booths during the Third Liberty Loan drive have formed an organization for the purpose of raising a fund with which to purchase an ambulance.

The Sixth Ward Republican Club yesterday contributed $25 to the Red Cross fund.

On a charge of selling sugar short weight, May Praissman, a grocer, of 701 Central avenue, was yesterday fined $25 by Recorder Stackhouse.

Plans for the Red Cross drive next week were laid last night by the Executive Committee and the workers at a meeting at the Y.M.C.A.

Agreeing to enlist, Jonas Davis, colored, aged 19 years, who was arrested on a charge of the theft of a watch from James Henry, was freed yesterday by Prosecutor Wolverton. He was sent to Fort Slocum, N.Y.
