The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Evans, 68, of 924 North 28th Street, was ruled a suicide by Camden County Coroner Thomas Casey. Her husband William, 70, found her body in the cellar when he returned from work.
Frederick W. Morse, 77, a Camden Board of Education employee from 1919 to 1954, died at his home, 200 North 28th Street, where he had lived for 76 years. Survived by his wife Mary, a daughter, a grandson, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Camden for Nicholas Romaine, 48, a member of Engine Company No. 11, who died of injuries suffered fighting a junk-shop fire nearly eight years earlier.
