33rd Street runs from the Delaware River south to Highland Avenue at the Pennsauken border, interrupted by the Pavonia railroad switching yard and by a rail line at Rosedale Avenue. It is North 33rd Street above Federal Street and South 33rd below.
“Peggy,” a poodle owned by Camden city librarian William H. Ketler of 247 South 33rd Street, was one of three New Jersey dogs honored in New York on October 31, 1933 for rousing her deaf master when she detected escaping gas.
Mrs. William H. Ketler and her son Horace B. Ketler, of South 33rd Street, opened their Margate City shore home for the summer. Mr. Ketler joins them on weekends.
