John H. Carroll

John H. Carroll (1861–1932) operated Carroll's Hotel and saloon at South 3rd and Cherry streets in Camden, ran a horse-and-wagon stable and an excavating business that graded Yorkship Village, and was a longtime Fifth Ward Republican committeeman.

Brown Street in Camden's Fourteenth Ward was one of two streets that carried that name. Shown on a 1914 map running east from Master Street to Newton Creek, south of Olive Street, it has no listed addresses in the 1924 Directory and does not appear on the 1946 map.
