2 Camden Firefighters Hurt in Two-alarmer
By John Way Jennings, Inquirer Staff Writer
Two Camden firefighters were injured yesterday when a fire they were battling in a rowhouse blew back in their direction. The rowhouse blaze spread to a nearby church and two homes. No other injuries were reported. The two-alarm blaze heavily damaged the house.
Arson investigators said they were trying to determine whether a 5-year-old boy playing with matches on the second floor of the home, at 430 North Erie St., started the fire.
The injured firefighters were Joel Bain, 36, a nine-year veteran, and Bryan Emenecker, 30, a firefighter for three years.
