4 Injured As Auto Runs into Building

Four persons were injured last night when the automobile in which they were riding jumped a curb and crashed into a brick building owned by the RCA Manufacturing Company at River avenue and State street.

Four persons were injured last night when the automobile in which they were riding jumped a curb and crashed into a brick building owned by the RCA Manufacturing Company at River avenue and State street.

Sage C. Russell, Jr., 18, of 907 North Nineteenth street, the driver, told police he attempted to make a left turn from State street into River avenue and the steering wheel locked. He sustained slight injuries but refused treatment at Cooper Hospital where he and the others were taken by passing motorists.

Those in the car were Joseph Whylings, Jr., 18, of Westfield Acres, who suffered a cut left elbow; Helen Martin, 18, of 1030 North Thirty-second street, who suffered a bruised forehead and injuries to her right ankle and Mary Baker, 18, of 1908 North Thirty-first street, whose left knee was cut.
