5 CAMDEN DRAFTEES TO TRAIN IN SOUTH
The public relations office at Camp Lee, Va., announced yesterday five Camden young men, inducted into the Army recently as selectees, have been assigned to Company A, Sixth Medical Training Battalion, at the Virginia camp.
They are Privates Herman Gottfried, of 2629 Westfield avenue; Private James Lloyd, of 637 Pine street; Private Edward Shaen, of 624 Kaighn avenue; Edward Ward, of 1150 Langham avenue, and Milton Kahn, of 257 South Twenty-seventh street.
The men will receive 13-weeks' training as medical soldiers. Their courses include anatomy, physiology, pharmacy, first aid and other basic medical subjects.
