Blaze Damages Werner Home
The living room of the home of Francis Werner, 822 N. 30th St., Camden, an investigator in the Camden County prosecutor's office, was swept by fire yesterday shortly after Werner left for work, according to police.
The blaze, which also caused smoke damage throughout the home, apparently started when a television set caught fire, according to Battalion Chief John Giuliano. The fire was reported at 8:15 a.m. and was under control within minutes, Giuliano said.
Werner said he had turned off the television when he left for work. His wife was also away at the time, police said.
