BOX OF ASHES FORCES FIREMEN TO MAKE RUN
A box of hot ashes in the rear of the real estate office of E. J. Clarke, 827 Ferry avenue, caused an alarm of fire late yesterday afternoon.
The ashes were taken from a stove and placed in a corner. In a short time, the box was in flames. Firemen were called and extinguished the blaze before much damage was done.
