Held for Shooting
Camden, N.J., April 29 (UP),—Slipping down the same path of crime that led his brother to the electric chair, John Doris, twenty-four, today was held for shooting an underworld character.
The prosecutor declared that if the man shot, John O’Connor, twenty-eight, Gloucester City, died, a murder charge will be preferred against Doris. Doris is a brother of Frank Doris, who was electrocuted for his part in the Olney bank robbery some years ago. Both had criminal records as youths and has long been known as underworld characters, police said.
Police understood the shooting was over a woman or a $4 liquor bill.
