Bryant Smith, who was whirled about in a fir wheel at a paper mill, will probably have one of his feet amputated at the Cooper Hospital.
The cruiser Washington, recently launched at the New York shipyard, will be given a dock trial on Monday.
The Camden Hebrew relief fund has reached $694.38.
Frank Ireland, Calvin Kircher, Wesley Hutt and Robert Barnes, boys, whose ages range from 14 to 16 years, were committed to the county jail by Recorder Stackhouse yesterday to await action on the part of Prosecutor Lloyd, who will probably have them sent to the reform school. According to Detectives Moffett and Hart, the youthful defendants are four of a gang that has been preying on local stores recently.
An unknown boy while passing the grocery store of E. S. Moore, 527 South Sixth street, yesterday lit a match and deliberately threw it into a can of gasoline. There was an explosion that shook the neighborhood and a slight fire resulted. The boy escaped.
