Camden Retires 2 Cops, Fireman
The retirement on pension of two police officers and a fireman was announced today by the Department of Public Safety.
Pensioned were Capt. Nathan Petit, 3051 Carman st., Patrolman William McGrath, 1128 N. 22nd st., and Fireman Charles Cook, 1132 Mt. Ephraim ave.
Petit, former head of the traffic bureau, joined the police force in 1917 and was promoted to sergeant in 1930. He was named lieutenant in 1943 and captain a year later. He has been on terminal leave.
Patrolman McGrath joined the force in 1926. Cook was appointed to the fire department in 1921.
