CAMDEN SOLDIER DIES IN AFRICAN ACTION
The parents of Pvt. Walter J. Koscianski, 964 Bulson street, revealed yesterday they had been notified by the War Department that their son was killed in action in North Africa.
Koscianski, a former employe of the city streets department, was buried in Algiers with church rites and his belongings have been returned to the family.
Before entering the service, Koscianski was active in Democratic circles in the Fourteenth ward. Confirmation of his death was received by John Emmel, of 905 Sylvan street, with the return of a V-mail letter Emmel sent him on Jan. 28. The letter was marked "Deceased, return to sender."
