CAPTAIN ALBERT STANLEY, In Charge of the Second Police District, Camden. When Captain Stanley assumed charge of the Second Police District it was notorious for its policy writers, speak-easies, panel and badger houses and criminals of every description. To-day it is comparatively clear of the criminal class owing to the untiring efforts of the Captain, who has caused some of the worst of the lot to be sent to State Prison and the remainder to seek other quarters. Captain Stanley formerly was a newspaper carrier and served The Inquirer to the residents of the district he now guards.
