Compulsory Education for Motorists To the Editor: Sir— Apparently the only way to adequately impress the recalcitrant motorist, who fails to observe safety rules regarding sensible automobile driving, and who by so doing not alone endangers his own, but other innocent lives, is a compulsory educational course and spelling lesson at his own expense from which there is no redress but payment. Once when it costs real honest to goodness money, bucks (U.S. currency), then, no matter how fast one drives or how small the sign, he will observe and be impressed by such signs as: Stop Street; 40-Mile Limit, Go Slow; No Left Turn, etc. Perhaps one can save himself needless worry, time and expense by giving heed in advance and taking a tip. WALTER GAIS.
