Deadly Fire on Thurman Street

Camden Courier-Post - June 29, 2012

Two people were killed in a fire at 1040 Thurman Street in Camden, according to police officials.

Camden Chief Scott Thomson said police are investigating the fire as an arson. Thomson declined to release information about the victims pending notification to the family.

“We’re still getting to the bottom of exactly what happened here,” Thomson said.

Local pastor David King said he talked with the grandfather of one of the victims. “Right now the whole family is in a lot of shock. It’s messed up to wake up and find out your family is dead.”
