The Fire Committee of City Council has approved the applications of Russell Bowen, of 827 Woodland avenue, and Julius Hubert, of 16 Jasper street, they passed the necessary physical examination and went on duty at No. 3 Engine House this morning. Bowen will be assigned to the wagon of Chief Nicholas, and Hubert, after proper instruction, to the steamer as driver.
