Girl Pellet Victim Gaining in Hospital

The condition of Miriam Rogell, 14, of 1477 Bradley avenue, who was shot in the eye Friday by a BB gun, was reported as "good" last night at the Philadelphia Wills Eye Hospital.

The doctors, however, refused to state whether the girl's sight could be saved by the treatments. She was accidentally shot by Billy Waldon, 14, of 1491 Bradley avenue. Billy, police said, was shooting at a target from a window of his home when Miriam walked by.

The girl screamed as the pellets struck her and her parents and Billy ran to her aid. Billy's father broke the gun and handed the pieces to police.
