Horner, Middleton, Bunker In Headquarters Shift
Sergeant William Horner, head of the missing persons bureau, was transferred yesterday to desk sergeant at police headquarters. He will replace Acting Sergeant Edward Middleton, who will be shifted to operator of the police "call board."
Middleton replaces Joseph Bunker and the latter is shifted to the Fourth District as a patrolman. Bunker is a Summer policeman.
The [missing] persons bureau will be changed to the identification bureau and will be under the supervision of Detective William Boettcher.
A series of police reassignments reshaped headquarters. The missing persons bureau became the identification bureau under Detective William Boettcher.
