HURLEY FIVE VICTOR OVER RADIO QUINTET Ott Laxton Registers Five Field Shots in Thrilling 24-19 Triumph Sensational floor play by Arthur "Otts" Laxton, which resulted in five field goals, carried the Hurley Store team to a thrilling 24-19 triumph over the Radio Condenser quintet in the preliminary game at the Convention Hall last night. The team soon will start their quest of the 1929-30 championship in the Camden County Industrial circuit, and last night's tussle was arranged as an exhibition game. The Broadway merchants grabbed the lead shortly after the start of play, when they registered three successive fouls. At the end of the first half the storemen led 13-11. Laxton shot five of the winners' eight two-pointers. He arched the oval from all angles of the court, and his flashy floor work was easily the feature of the game. Ollie Guthrie shared the feature role with Laxton. The Radio team, second half champs of the Industrial league last season, was held to four double-deckers. Everett Cramer and Vince Conley were the losers' stars.
