Director of Public Safety Aaron today issued a “refresher” on a standing order requiring the search of all persons entering the visitors’ room of city jail.
The order, Aaron said, will apply to attorneys as well as visitors seeking to see persons held in the jail. It was enacted several years ago as a precaution against jail breaks. Policemen on-duty inside the jail are not allowed weapons.
