MAN GETS YEAR'S TERM ON NON-SUPPORT CHARGE
A man who told Judge Samuel M. Shay in Criminal Court yesterday that he sleeps every night under a tree in the Locustwood Cemetery, was sent to state's prison for a year on charges of failing to support his wife.
Elmer Catlin, formerly of 2802 Tyler avenue, was summoned into court on complaint of his wife, Bertha, of the Tyler avenue address. She said that he has not kept up an order of $12 a week for the support of four children and herself which was made in December, 1931.
Catlin told Judge Shay that he has been out of work for several months. He recently obtained work at the cemetery, he said, but received so little money that he has not been able to rent a room and has been sleeping under a tree in the graveyard.
