NEW YEAR SHOT NEAR HEART. One Man Was Celebrating While Another Went to Hospital. It was not until some hours yesterday that the Camden police solved the mystery surrounding the shooting of Frank O'Neill, 55 years old, of 305 Mickle street, who is in the Cooper Hospital with a bullet near his heart. Detective Schregler located Vincenzo Cadillo, of 108 South Second street, who was arrested as the one who fired the shot. At first asserting his innocence, Cadillo later admitted that he was celebrating the New Year and was firing out his back room window toward the P. R. R. Y. M. C. A. building on Third street, near Mickle. O'Neill was walking along with his brothers Joseph and Charles when they encountered a perfect rain of bullets. They tried to dodge, but Frank was too late. Cadillo was held for a hearing today.
