Object to Sewer Assessments
When Circuit Court Judge Lloyd was asked in Camden yesterday to approve assessments made by commissioners for sewer construction in the Twelfth ward, counsel for abutting property owners interposed an objection and intimated that alterations in the original contract had boosted the cost from $1.10 to $1.50 per lineal foot. This was warmly resented by City Councilman Bleakly, who declared that the contractor who did the work actually lost considerable money. The findings of the commissioners were approved.
