Salute to Broadway Eddie

The honorable Mayor of Camden, Gwendolyn A. Faison announces a "Salute to Broadway Eddie," Thursday June 26th between 11:00am until 3:00pm on Martin L. King Blvd and Broadway.

The Mayor will honor Edward Warhoftig, known to most throughout the region as "Broadway Eddie," for over 38 years of dedicated business in the City of Camden. Broadway Eddie's local businesses include: retail clothing store, a dollar store and a music/electronics store. He has served the city of Camden well with very active involvement in advisory positions on various city committees and input involving city initiatives. He serves on the Board of Director of the Boys and Girls Club. He has provided numerous financial contributions and support to many area churches. In 1978, Broadway Eddie received a Grammy for his involvement and contributions to the music industry.

During the opening ceremony Mayor Faison will present a proclamation proclaiming June 26 as "Broadway Eddie Day," in the City of Camden. Join us along with local merchants in this "Salute to Broadway Eddie."
