CAMPBELL'S BOWS TO POLISH TOSSERS
Jim McGinnis' Camden Collegians are the first-half season champions of the first Brunner Twilight League National Division. The Collegians carried off the coveted title last night when they handed St. Joseph's a 14 to 3 spanking on Tenth and Van Shocken avenues.
The victory was not even necessary, and Camden Campbell, formerly the only other contender, was knocked from the contention when it dropped a 6-5 decision to the Polish Americans, as Camden expected.
Victor in the American group tilts with Victor and the National group play-off series for the final-semester crown... Ott Laxton... managed to get the starting nod... gave Polish the nod over Campbell by bumping out two...
A meeting of the Brunner Twilight League will be held tonight at the City Hall and all managers of teams now in the league and new combs will start at 8 o'clock.
