When Harry Cross, a negro, 22 years old, of 619 Sycamore street, was arraigned in Camden yesterday charged with stealing iron pipe from Charles W. Moore, he admitted his guilt and said he had been driven to that extremity because he wanted to get clothes in order that he might attend his sister's funeral yesterday afternoon. Herbert Lamb, 20 years old, of 741 Baxter street, admitted he was with Gross to aid him. The Recorder permitted the two to go to attend the funeral on their promising to reappear this morning for a hearing.
