Store owner, wife handcuffed, robbed CAMDEN — A Sheridan Street grocer who escaped being robbed a week ago was handcuffed yesterday along with his wife by two men who robbed him of between $7,000 and $8,000, police said. According to Camden Police spokesman Detective Ray Garrison, two men entered Kim's Food Market, 1301 Sheridan St., at 8:10 a.m. and told store owner Hyung Kim, "don't move." During last week's robbery attempt, three men entered the store armed with handguns and a sawed-off shotgun and also told the grocer "don't move." Kim fled, and the would-be robbers left too, police said. This time, the suspects handcuffed Kim and his wife, who was not identified, and forced them to the second floor of the building, police said. While one suspect held a gun on the couple, the other searched the food market and found the cash, police said. On both occasions, police said, the suspects were described as in their mid-20s who fled in a large, brown car, possibly an Oldsmobile.
