THEY COULDN'T FIND DOLAN, BUT WOODS WAS EASY FOR THEM, SO IT WAS EVEN AT BUFFALO. The "Bisons" Got Sweet Revenge on "Wallie" at Last—Some Lively Eastern League Games. THE "BISONS" broke even with Springfield in the two games played here to-day. The first game was lost by the home team owing chiefly to the inability of the players to connect with Dolan's delivery at times when hits would have counted, while on the other hand, "Farmer" Brown was an easy mark for the visitors. He gave a yellow exhibition of pitching, and after the second inning the Springfield lads found no difficulty in landing on the ball at will. The visitors began their run getting in the third in this way: Dolan banged a hard one to left for a single. Fuller flied to Gray, after which Green sent a slashing double to the left fence, sending in Dolan. Woods then sent a sharp one at Greminger, which "Ed" fumbled and Green ran to third. "Sam" Wise made a poor attempt to field Brouthers's grounder and "Dan" was safe, Green scoring on the mistake and Woods getting to third, from which sack he went home on Rogers's demise at first. Sullivan retired Gilbert to Field. This gave Springfield a lead of three. Two more were scored by Burns's men in the fifth. Woods singled and took second on Greminger's error, scoring a moment later on a grand single by "Big Dan." A wild pitch sent Brouthers to second, and he took third on Rogers's out and scored when Gilbert went out on a grounder to Field. The Springfields got their last two runs in the seventh on Greminger's rank throw of Woods's grounder and Brouthers's home run. Buffalo scored one run in the fourth on hits by Gilboy, Wise and Greminger and Rogers's fumble of Field's grounder. In the eighth they scored another on singles by Gray, Gilboy and a bad fumble and throw by Rogers.
