TORCH THAWS PIPES, ALSO SETS HOUSE AFIRE
When Frank Roccanella, of 521 Borton street, applied a gasoline torch to frozen pipes in the basement of his home yesterday, flames from the torch set fire to wooden joists. Roccanella turned in an alarm and firemen extinguished the blaze before the fire spread.
The pipes in the Roccanella home are thawed all right, but floor boards in their vicinity are ruined.
