2 GET 30-DAY TERMS FOR STEALING COAL
Two men were sentenced to 30 days each in police court yesterday on charges of stealing coal from the Cooper Point yards of the Pennsylvania railroad.
The men who gave their names as Lorenzo Taggart, 43, no home, Frank Mitchell, 27, of 49 North street, were arrested by Detectives Sergeant John Snyder and George Baitzel, of the railroad police department. The men said they were preparing to sell the coal.
William Antinuk, 13, of 682 Ferry avenue, is being held pending investigation of the theft of six coils of copper wire from a freight car on the Pennsylvania—Reading Seashore lines, near Van Hook street.
George Smith, a railroad detective, said he captured the boy as two companions fled from the car. Smith said the boy related that the loot was sold to a South Camden man whom the police are seeking.
