Forced to Aid His Wife and Four
A Philadelphia Inquirer item of February 9, 1917: Fred Keeler, 42, of 908 Howard Street, accused of giving his wife only $2 in three weeks, was ordered by Recorder Stackhouse to post a $500 bond guaranteeing his family $5 a week.
