Charles Behrend of Camden, NJ served as a Private First Class in Company C, 309th Infantry Regiment, 78th Infantry Division. He was killed in action on September 25, 1918 during the Battle of St. Mihiel and is buried at St. Mihiel American Cemetery in Thiaucourt, France.
Cambridge Avenue, also known as Cambridge Street, runs easterly from the Delaware River through the Cramer Hill neighborhood, crossing Harrison, Pierce, Wayne, and River avenues to North 27th Street.

Eighteenth Street runs from River Avenue north to just beyond Harrison Avenue in the Cramer Hill section of Camden, New Jersey. Originally called Dayton Avenue, it was renamed shortly after the 1900 Census.
Seventeenth Street runs through two separate sections of Camden: North 17th Street extends from Harrison Avenue to River Avenue through the Cramer Hill neighborhood, while South 17th Street runs from Federal Street southward across Carman Street to Admiral Wilson Boulevard in East Camden.
Named for James G. Blaine, the 1884 Republican presidential candidate, Blaine Street ran from South 7th Street to Trenton Avenue and through to Haddon Avenue. No houses stand on Blaine Street today.

Blank cartridges and toy cannon caused a string of injuries treated at Cooper Hospital and Homeopathic Hospital.
