There is plenty of good boxing scheduled for this week. To-night Kid Lavigne will meet Owen Ziegler at the Winter Circus. If both men “try,” as they would say down the road, this will be a mill as will be a mill. Lavigne is undoubtedly one of the greatest light-weights the country has ever produced, although it is doubtful if he could come to 133 again. But at that there will be little difference in the weights, for Ziegler has taken on plenty of flesh in the past two years. Cliff Valentine, of Trenton, and Dan McMahon; Emil Beck and J. Bryan; Eugene Rowan and Dan McConnell; Frank McGee and Ed McCaffrey will appear in the preliminaries.
