Broken Arm Knits, 10-Year-Old Youth Fractures It Again

"It's getting to be sort of a habit with Edwin Grimmer." Edwin is 10 years old, his home is 2204 Howell street and he is noted as the broken arm champion. On Thanksgiving Day, he fell while playing in front of his home. When they took him to Cooper Hospital, they found his left arm had been broken in two places. The fractured bones were set. Today, with the double fracture knitted into its old position, Edwin fell again. His left arm doubled up under him. Again, he was taken to Cooper hospital and again it was found the arm had been broken in two places—but not the same two places as before. "When a fracture is successfully set, it is stronger than before," surgeons at the hospital said by way of explaining why the breaks were at new spots instead of the former locations. "Well, anyway," suggested Edwin, "I can't very well break it any more. There's no more room on the arm."
