Camden Man Found Hanged
A retired railroadman hanged himself Friday afternoon while his wife and a neighbor were shopping.
Mrs. Emma Mead of 268 Boyd st. returned to her home shortly after 2 p.m. and found her husband, Lester, 66, hanging in the basement. A clothesline around his neck was fastened to two pipes near the ceiling.
Police cut down the body and on the way to Cooper Hospital administered artificial respiration and gave forced oxygen. Mead was pronounced dead on arival.
