Camden Man Stabbed, Assailant Is Caught


Stabbed during a quarrel last night, Jesse Brown, 27, colored, of 304 Taylor avenue, is in a serious condition in Cooper Hospital suffering from cuts of the neck, left arm, forehead and face.
His alleged assailant, John Hobbs, 23, colored, of 1603 North Randolph street, Philadelphia, was arrested on Camden bridge a few minutes later.
Brown was cut outside his home and staggered into the First District police station. Bridge police were notified to seek his assailant. A moment before Jennie Worona of 208 Burns street had told bridge police a man had thrown a knife away on the Fifth street pedestrian underpass. Hobbs was arrested on the bridge by Bridge Policemen John Curry and Thomas Keely.
