CAMDEN NEWS NOTES Rudolph Climes, of the Seventh ward, was appointed a policeman by Mayor Ellis yesterday, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the dismissal of Lawrence Doran. Robert Kaighn yesterday took out a permit for the erection of ten dwellings at Fourth and York streets. Judge Joline yesterday transferred the county liquor license of Shelby Weatherby, of Waterford, to George Early. Posts Nos. 5 and 37, G. A. R., have been invited to attend a reunion at the home of General E. Burd Grubb, at Edgewater Park, on May 3. Many old wooden bridges that span the creeks in Camden county are to be abandoned, according to plans of the Bridge Committee of the Board of Freeholders. A meeting was held in Camden yesterday, when it was reported that most of these old structures, always an expense to the county, are seldom if ever used. During a sham battle between rival crowds of boys yesterday, Jasbury Hammond, aged 13 years, of 810 Locust street, was struck on the head with a brick. A bad wound resulted, with a slight concussion of the brain.
