•• Peter Korarezski, a young Pole, yesterday received a verdict of $700 before Circuit Court Judge Cole as damages against the Dunn Oil Cloth Company for injuries received while employed by the corporation. He alleged that because of defective machinery he lost several fingers and the use of an arm.
•• Chief of Police Gravenor yesterday made Police Sergeant John Reader acting captain of the Second district, during the absence of Captain Arthur Stanley, who has gone abroad.
