The Board of Health has requested the Camden Iron Works to see that all its employes are vaccinated, a case of small pox having developed at the plant.
The retail liquor license in the name of Frank Carrow, at Berlin, who was killed by a train last spring, was transferred to Thomas Holland yesterday by Judge Joline.
A spark from an engine set fire to the stable of George Tucker, cigar dealer, at Knight and Kaighn avenue, yesterday. Cole's lumber mill was threatened before the fire was extinguished.
Judge Bergen yesterday filed an answer in the Browning Brothers' litigation. The case involves $61,000 of the assets of the retired company. The answer denies that the assignment of the company was made in New Jersey.
John Marshall, 32 years old, an iron worker at Dialogue's shipyard, acted as peacemaker in a fight at the place where he is employed, yesterday, and for his trouble received a severe gash under the chin. He was taken to Cooper Hospital.
Hereafter landlords who hale their tenants before the District Court in Camden, under a recent decision, will encounter some little difficulty. This decision gives the tenant to be ejected for non payment of rent the right to demand a jury when before the court. This will not only postpone such cases for a week at least, but the landlord will have to pay the jurymen, which will amount to $6.
A meeting of the Camden County Republican Executive Committee has been called by Chairman William J. Browning for this afternoon, at the Camden Republican Club, to fix the dates for the primary elections and county conventions. The report circulated that Chairman Browning will offer a substitute list of election officers for the one he has already handed in, is denied by him.
