Camden Police Raid Alleged Speak-Easy
Police Captain Stanley and a squad of officers last night made a raid on an alleged speak-easy at the foot of Jackson street, Camden, and captured Patrick Holden, the supposed proprietor, and two others.
The police were notified that a crowd of men were having a high old time in Holden's boat house at Jackson street. When the raid was made several hundred persons gathered about and most of the inmates escaped. Four cases and one tub of beer, beside some whisky, were found.
