The winter in Alaska so far has been the worst on record because of severe storms. Hunters and traders have especially suffered.

Carlo Wilcox, father of Ida Wilcox, who eloped at Nice Italy, Tuesday, with Dr. Sellow, lives in Minneapolis, Minn., and the girl was a leading society favorite.

A bill has been introduced in the Minnesota legislature providing that non-residents shall not be allowed to make arrests or do police duty in the state except in extradition cases.

Three deaths and four cases of smallpox are reported int he poorhouse of Onondaga county, New York.

It is now stated that Annie Eisenhardt, the head nurse at the hospital at Camden, N.J., who was found terribly cut and beaten, inflicted the injuries on herself while temporarily insane.
