FIRE IN VACANT HOUSE IS BLAMED ON PROWLERS
Prowlers or tramps were supposed to have been responsible for a fire that started in the second floor of an empty house at 1839 South Tenth street last night.
A match thrown in a heap of rubbish in the front room started the fire. A passerby, noticing smoke issuing from the windows, called the fire department. The flames were extinguished by the firemen. The loss was slight.
