FUNERAL OF OLD RESIDENT.
The funeral of John G. Schramm, husband of Emma M. Schramm, one of the few remaining pioneer residents of the North Side, who for many years conducted the hotel at Twenty-seventh and Cleveland avenue, took place this afternoon at 1 o'clock from his late home, 912 North Thirty-first street, and was largely attended. Interment was made at Harleigh Cemetery in charge of Undertaker Frederick Roedel & Sons.
Deceased was one of the organizers and charter members of the old Citizens' Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1, and was active in its ranks until the paid department was installed in this section. Last evening large delegations from Mozart Lodge, No. 119, F. & A. M., and the Citizens' Fire Company viewed the remains, the Masonic lodge holding their impressive ceremonies.
