Hold Burlington Man for Larceny

A fugitive since June 2, on a charge of the larceny of a pair of opera glasses, a silver watch, and other articles of jewelry from Mrs. Harriett Reynolds, of 729 Grant street, whose brother befriended him when he was sick and out of work, John Harris, aged 35 years, of Burlington, was apprehended on Saturday afternoon by Detective John Painter.
In Police Court to-day Harris pleaded not guilty.
Recorder Stackhouse, however, after hearing Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds testify that on the day he disappeared, he was detected in the act of stealing a gold watch belonging to Mr. Reynolds, and that that very night he skipped out, held him in $500 bail to answer.
