Washington, D. C., April 3 — Michael Walsh, 65 years old, 846 Grant street, Camden, has been granted an increase in his monthly pension through the efforts of Congressman Charles A. Wolverton, of Camden. Walsh served in the regular military establishment from February 5, 1884 until March 31, 1887 when he was discharged because of heart trouble. He had enlisted for a five-year period. During his period of service he was a member of Troop B, Eighth United States Cavalry. For a number of years Walsh has been receiving a small monthly pension because of his disability. During the last few years his disability has increased and Congressman Wolverton submitted sworn medical evidence to the Bureau of Pensions in requesting an advance in Walsh's pension rate. The claim was allowed by the Bureau as of October 1927.
