John Gargano Dies of Pneumonia at 63

John Gargano, 63, of 823 South Fourth street, died yesterday at his home of pneumonia after an illness of seven days. He was employed in the undertaking business by his brother-in-law, Freeholder Antonio Mecca, of the Fifth ward.
He is survived by his wife, Carmellia; a brother, Antonio, of Detroit, and four sisters, Marie Gargano and Mrs. Kathryn Cianciarullo, of Wildwood; Mrs. Caroline Francella, Dowingtown [sic], Pa., and Mrs. Isabella Mecca.
He had lived in Camden for 26 years, and during all of that time was a Republican. He was secretary of the First Italian Republican League for 25 years, and was an active member until his last illness.
