'Kentucky Rosebud' Accused by Police
Accused of keeping a disorderly house, Walter Edgerton, at one time a famous lightweight colored pugilist, known as the "Kentucky Rosebud," was held in $300 bail by Justice McClong this morning. The defendant, now in his fifties, lives at 811 Locust street, where he was arrested by Police Captain Stanley yesterday. No intoxicants were found, but it is charged that the "Rosebud" maintained a house of assignation. He waived a hearing.
